New report highlights latest developments in vehicle safety technology
Brake has published a new report highlighting the latest developments in vehicle technologies - and the safety benefits they offer.
The report is published on the back of a webinar organised by Brake in December 2016, which explored emerging technologies including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane Keep Assist Systems (LKAS) and their implications for the future of managing occupational road risk.
The report has been produced by Brake Professional, Brake’s membership scheme for professionals working in the field of fleet safety. Brake Professional provides training, tools and guidance on global fleet safety best practice for its members.
The report includes contributions from experts in the vehicle technology industry and a best practice case study to highlight the key changes that are occurring, and their implications in terms of safety and insurance.
Zari’aat Masood, professional engagement officer at Brake, said: “It is crucial that fleet operators are up to date with the latest advances in vehicle technologies, and utilise the benefits of emerging safety features.
“I would encourage anyone involved in managing occupational road risk to draw on the knowledge experts in the field share in this report.”
The new report is available free of charge to all Brake Professional members, while non-members can order a copy from the Brake shop.
