TISPOL conference will focus on vulnerable road users
The 2015 TISPOL* European Road Safety Conference will focus on the challenge of reducing the risk to vulnerable road users including cyclists and the elderly.
Using the theme ‘Vulnerable Road Users – we are all more vulnerable than we think’, speakers will consider issues from the perspective of cyclists, pedestrians and older road users.
The programme will include sessions looking at work related road safety; safer drivers, safer vehicles and safer journeys; new risks, new trends and new strategies; and innovation and challenges.
The conference and accompanying exhibition will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Manchester Airport on 6-7 October.
The TISPOL European traffic police network organisation was established in 2000 by the traffic police forces of Europe in order to improve road safety and law enforcement on the roads of Europe. TISPOL’s priority is to reduce the number of people being killed and seriously injured. TISPOL has close co-operation with the European Commission and other European road traffic and transport enforcement partners and stakeholders.
