Film festival will promote cycling during Bike Week

Wednesday 5th June 2013

As part of its ongoing campaign to promote cycling, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s road safety and school travel plan team is helping to organise and promote the Borough’s first cycling film festival.

‘Bikeminded’ is the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s campaign to promote cycling among its residents, and the Bikeminded Film Festival will run throughout National Bike Week (15-23 June).

The festival will comprise a selection of entertaining short films from Bikeminded’s Cycle Shorts series, culminating in the festival finale feature film ‘Janapar’.

‘Janapar’ is a film about one man’s travels around the world on his bike. It’s a life-affirming, moving story of life and love as one man travels across the globe in search of his cycling-focused destiny.

Renowned Bikeworks founder Jim Blakemore and high-profile cycling blogger Mark Ames will also be introducing films at the festival.

Janapur will be screened at 7.00pm on Thursday 20 June at the Coronet Cinema, Notting Hill Gate. Click here to purchase tickets (£5).
