Tuesday 20th November 2012

A new viral campaign which focuses on distractions faced by young drivers launched on 16 November and has so far clocked-up more than 2,000 views on YouTube.

The viral, ‘Two Second Mistake’, is a collaborative effort between the Highways Agency, Cambridgeshire County Council, Peterborough City Council, Luton Borough Council, Central Bedfordshire Council and Amey.

It features two young people driving to a party, but when the passenger receives a picture message on his phone and the driver demands to see it, they crash.

Click here to watch the viral on YouTube. If you wish to pass on the link the campaign team is asking that you don’t mention that it is a road safety film.
