Fleet safety system launched with free trial
Driver Safety Management (DSM) is offering a free 12-month subscription to its new fleet safety management system, in a bid to help more organisations, including councils, effectively manage the safety of their at work drivers.
‘One Click Driver Safety’ is an automated time sensitive task management system that delivers a series of pre-loaded safety checks, videos, risk assessments and policy procedures to company car and grey fleet drivers. DSM says that the system is the first of its kind in the UK.
Stuart Fraser, managing director of DSM, said: “While some of the major fleet operators have implemented their own fleet risk procedures, a great many organisations, and even councils, have failed to do anything. This is why we are offering this free 12-month subscription to our new system.
“We really want to encourage more companies to look after their drivers and vehicles, whether they are grey fleet or company owned. Employees are an organisation’s greatest asset, without them they would not be able to function.
“Legally, If you have more than five employees you need to have a policy in place, and a system that can be audited if something were to go wrong – but a great many companies are not comfortable implementing their own system.
“We developed One Click Driver Safety by considering how a professional fleet manager would approach the problem, and what steps and safety checks they would put in place.”
DSM then took these checks, assessments and policies and built them into what it calls a ‘time sensitive task management system’. The system delivers these time sensitive tasks to the driver, instructing them to complete and record certain information. The data and results are then used to provide meaningful safety management reports.
Stuart Fraser added: “We really are passionate about this, which is why we are offering this free of charge to anyone who want to use it. Simply ignoring the problem won't make it go away.”
