Free resources available as part of 'Bike Tyre Safety Month'
Bike Tyre Safety Month 2011 will run throughout April to highlight the dangers of riding motorcycles and scooters on defective and worn tyres.
As part of the campaign, which is being run by TyreSafe, motorcycle dealers and repairers, tyre retailers and motorcycle accessory shops are being encouraged to offer free tyre safety checks to their customers.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness about these serious safety issues and to help reduce the number of motorcyclists killed or injured on the UK's roads as a result of tyre related accidents.
There is a range of support material available free of charge including; a press advertising template, free pressure and tread check posters and a motorcycle tyre safety leaflet.
